One of Spyderco's most popular knife models, the Manix2 -- hand-built in Golden, Colorado -- features a blade made of exotic high carbon steel and patented, hard use-rated ball bearing lock. The hardened, free-floating ball bearing lock is contained in a custom polymer cage, allowing the lock to self adjust across a large surface, smoothly and consistently locking up. The blade is made of 154CM metal,  full-flat ground with aggressive thumb serration jimping above an oversized, 14-millimeter round hole. Full steel liners have jimping that extends beyond the G-10 handle scales, scalloping areas of the handle's perimeter for nonslip use, even with gloves on. The double-purpose liners add rigidly and lightweight strength to the handle, while a three-screw clip is formatted for left- or right-handed carrying.
